The temperature in Samoa ranges from between 24 to 32 degrees Celsius year round. Samoa does not have a summer and winter as such but rather a wet and dry season. The dry season is from April to October/November.

Yes and this can be obtained by presenting your current valid licence to the Police Department in Apia and paying the fee of SAT $10. Driving licences can be obtained also from the Ministry of Transport on Savaii near the ferry terminal.

What is recommended dress in Samoa?

Light summer clothing is appropriate all year round, with perhaps a light sweater for the cooler evenings. Smart casual evening wear is appropriate for hotels and restaurants. Visitors are requested not to wear bathing suits in Apia or in the villages. No nude or topless (for women) swimming or sunbathing. Women are recommended to wear a lava-lava (sarong) or dress, rather than shorts or trousers, if they attend church.

Are there any activities provided by Savaii Lagoon?

Yes, there are kayaks, a selection of board games and small library available for guests to use. Complimentary village demonstrations are held when the numbers are sufficient.  Bookings are requested.

Where can I change my currency?

It is best to change at the airport in Samoa or the banks in the townships. This will give you the most competitive rates. Make sure that you have enough cash as eftpos facilities in Samoa are not readily available.
